Northampton shoe industry history
WebMobbs Miller House was built between 1922 and 1925 by the in-house architect L.G. Elkins for the Co-operative Wholesale Society Ltd to be their flagship building in the famous Northampton shoe industry. The building was used by the Co-Operative Society until its acquisition by the last manufacturers, Mobbs Miller in the 1960’s.
